Leading patient engagement & loyalty at Medtronic

I led consumer acquisition and retention at Medtronic Diabetes, including the development of a first-of-its-kind patient engagement platform called Inner Circle that incentivized patients to share personalized health data & track improved health outcomes (glucose time-in-range). I managed all aspects of this program from concept through implementation, partnership development, lifecycle content strategy and e-commerce and payer integration.
This program was built around consumer insights and unmet needs and used gamification to encourage patients to change their behavior and become active participants around their personal glucose data. This involved overcoming many legal and regulatory obstacles and involved a large cross-functional team that included outside agencies, partnership rewards companies and the payer community. In addition to health data, we rewarded successful on-boarding efforts which complimented existing phone-based efforts, and rewarded for social engagement, important to humanize the Medtronic brand and demonstrate active listening to patients and HCPs.
